Credits

Credits are prepaid balance for Crownly services (about $0.01 USD per 1¢ credit). Buy them on web checkout with a card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. In the mobile app, purchases open in your browser.

Creation fee

Your first contest is free — the creation fee is waived automatically the first time you host. After that, creators pay a creation fee up front that grows with contest settings. Any prize seed is held in escrow in addition to the fee. You'll see a live breakdown (with the crossed-out list price when the waiver applies) when you create a contest.

Creator cut

After the platform fee, creators keep a share of the remaining entry fees (default 25% of what remains after the platform fee). That cut is held with the contest and credited to the host when the contest settles. The rest of the remaining entry fees plus any prize seed fund the winners. Default prize seed is $0; create shows your estimated host credit if the contest fills.

Winning structure

Creators choose 1 winner (100%) or multiple winners with custom percent splits that must sum to 100%. After the hold window, settlement pays the prize pool by that structure and releases the creator cut to the host's credit balance.

Entry fee

Default 15% of each contestant entry fee goes to the platform. Of the remainder: creator cut (above), then the prize pool (shown before you enter or create).

Payout hold

Default 14 days after a contest ends before prize transfers (chargeback protection window).
