Delete your Crownly account

This page is for Crownly users (web and mobile apps from Crownly / getcrownly.com). You can request permanent deletion of your Crownly account and associated personal data as described below.

How to request account deletion

1. Email support@crownly.app from the email address on your Crownly account.
2. Use the subject line Account deletion request and include your Crownly username (if you have one) and a short note that you want your account deleted.
3. We will confirm the request and delete your account. Typical turnaround is within 30 days of a verified request.

You can also contact us from the in-app or website Support page; account deletion is handled by email so we can verify ownership.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove or irreversibly anonymize:

• Account profile (name, username, email, photo, bio, location fields)
• Sign-in / identity links used for your Crownly login
• Credits balance and referral links tied to your account
• Your contest entries, uploaded media, comments, likes, votes, and similar activity attributed to you (removed or anonymized so they are no longer associated with you)
• Device / push notification tokens stored for your account

What may be kept, and for how long

Some information may be retained only as needed for legal, security, fraud prevention, tax, or financial record-keeping:

• Payment and payout records (for example Stripe transaction metadata, invoices, prize payouts, chargeback history) — typically up to 7 years, or longer if a dispute or legal hold requires it. We do not store full card numbers.
• Safety / abuse logs related to fraud, chargebacks, or serious policy violations — typically up to 2 years.
• Aggregated or anonymized analytics that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained.
• Content that remains part of an active or settled contest may stay visible in anonymized form (for example "Deleted user") when removing it would break contest integrity; personal identifiers are stripped.

After retention periods end, retained records are deleted or further anonymized under our normal retention schedule. See our Privacy Policy for how Crownly handles data generally.

Delete some data without closing your account

If you want specific personal data corrected or removed but want to keep your Crownly account, email support@crownly.app with details. We will review and fulfill requests where we can under applicable law and contest / payment obligations.
